OUR PEOPLE

After graduating from Harvard with a M.Div, Carlo began his career in education began as an academic counselor in Brooklyn. In seeing how difficult it could be for high schoolers to understand exactly where they are on the path to graduation and how few tools were available to them, their parents, and their teachers he set out to create those tools himself. This desire to enable educators with the best tools to inform their conversations with students in and out of the classroom led him to years of training teachers, school leaders, and system leader how to make use of data and technology to effectively progress monitor student performance and school health. More recently, Carlo has lent his expertise as an product expert and executive leader at Illuminate Education and Formative where he works to translate the problems that schools have into meaningful technological and analytics solutions.

Carlo is lovingly referred to as "the beard" (by everyone but his wife). He has a son and three dogs and loves to exercise, hike, and cook all manner of delicious things.
