OUR PEOPLE

Dr. Piekarski has taught in a public schools, private schools, prisons, and at some of the best higher ed institutions in the world. He presently serves as a professor of Rhetoric at the University of Texas - Austin. Krzys is trained in Hakomi Therapy and brings a focus on emotional intelligence to the challenge of reimagining education. He is the Founder of Character by Design, an organization aimed at helping people cultivate individual and organizational character. 

He lives in Austin with his wife and his beloved dog Bunk, who is named after detective Bunk Moreland on The Wire. (Clearly.)

Krzysztof holds a BA from Williams College and a PhD. in Literature from the University of Texas - Austin.
