OUR PEOPLE

Dr. Lauren Whitfield is a proven leader in school transformation with over 15 years of experience in Texas Title I schools. Although she claims that teaching has been her favorite role, she has spent most of her career in leadership. Through the love of teaching, and guiding others to reach their highest potential, she has excelled as an educator, coach, principal, and district leader. Dr. Whitfield skillfully grows every member of her team creating a coalition that produces results for students.

As a turnaround principal, she empowered her school community, built institutional knowledge of strong practices, created sustainable systems, and improved the school rating from failing to satisfactory performance in just one year. As a district leader, through coaching principals, she has increased or helped each campus maintain a high performing school rating, with her previous campus outperforming all other schools in the district.  

Dr. Whitfield loves to spend time with her husband, 4 kids, and 2 wild labs. Outside of work, she’ll most likely be at her son’s baseball games, watching her daughters on the volleyball court, or chasing her toddler in his quest to live his best life.
