Research & Design

The Conscious Schools Project recently opened its Labs to explore ideas and design resources to support school transformation. In our Labs work, we explore interests that align with our aspiration to help educators grow up, wake up, and teach well. We follow our curiosity, and invite anyone in our network to join our efforts.

Our research is never for profit and do not advance the agenda of a funding entity. All of our research and resources are available to any educator and organization in the Conscious Schools network. Explore some of our current work below.

The Dynamic Schools Model

All schools are not created the same. In fact, we have a hypothesis that schools, like people, go through developmental phases. The needs of schools vary based on their phase of development. Anchoring in the work of Clare Graves “Spiral Dynamics” model of human development, and complementing his work with a host of change leadership and educational efficacy research, we’re building a model that schools can use to chart their own evolution.
